When I decided to redecorate all of the bedrooms in my home with an animal print theme, I had no idea that there would be so many choices to consider at each step of the decorating process. In my mind, there were just a couple of basic animal prints that could be used throughout the room for things like bedding and picture frames. Boy, was I wrong. There are a lot of animals out there and there’s an animal print for each of them!

I ended up deciding to put different animal print bedding in each room and to create the rest of that room’s decor around the bedding. I ended up with the following:

• Leopard print bedding in the master bedroom. That seemed to be the sexiest animal bedding and I wanted that to be reserved for the adults.
• Tiger print kids bedding for the boys. They made it clear that they were all about the big cats so they loved this bedding.
• Zebra bedding in the girls room. They wanted something different and this was great because it offered a black-and-white decor theme for the room.
• Giraffe bedding for the guest room. I wanted to do something that would make the guests feel like they’d traveled to another part of the world.

The bedding in each room serves as the main decor piece and the rest of the decor is pulled together around it to create a look for each room. You can bet we have a roaring good time in this house!
