Plastic Cards and Their Colors

June 30th, 2008 by SMO

Once a business has decided to use plastic cards to market their name or a rewards program, the question of what design to use will soon follow. In general, a reputable plastic card printing company can work with any design a business wants and will offer plenty of options. A business that already has a logo or design is often allowed to simply provide their own artwork and details. Schools, churches and other organizations implementing plastic cards for fundraisers can usually work with a card printer’s graphic design team to get just the right coloring and lettering.

When it comes to marketing, it is well known that there are colors that inspire certain habits and attitudes. Colors such as green and gold tend to convey a sentiment of wealth, while pink is a color of femininity. Red is energizing while blue is calming. Yellow and orange are cheerful colors that convey creativity, merriment and fun. Lettering is another important feature to consider when designing a logo for a card. Printed letters offer a nice simplicity while cursive lettering tends to offer a measure of sophistication. Experimenting with different looks and designs before making a final decision is what leads to satisfaction with the end product.
