New Job as Golf Instructor
January 18th, 2009 by SMO
Last year after I came in second place in the San Diego County Open, I decided that I would look into becoming a golf instructor. I have always enjoyed golf and spend as much time on the course as possible. I played golf at the Crossings at Carlsbad every Sunday afternoon in the summer. I talked to the golf teachers there and most of them were friendly and helpful when I had discussed my plan for starting instructing as my own business. Some of them had an opinion that I wouldn’t make much money unless I charged an outrageous price, being that I would have to rent an office space in San Diego. After seeking the advice of a really kind Carlsbad Real Estate agent I came to the conclusion that those guys were right about not making money after paying rent for office space.
The day after I met with the realtor, he called me back and told me about the new live work homes that I could use for living and working. I thought it sounded great and moved in as soon as the papers were signed. I’ve been doing business for a year now and this new profession of mine has never been better. I live in one of the nicest townhomes in Carlsbad.
