If you are considering staying and a New England B&B, you are not alone — tons of people do it every year.  Here are a few of the top reasons to stay at a Massachusetts bed and breakfast or Vermont bed and breakfast.

• You are interested in New England history.  There are plenty of sights to see in New England, many of them historical.  Visit a New England inn and take a step back into history as you tour the historical landmarks!
• As a romantic getaway.  What can be more romantic than a cozy room at a little bed and breakfast?
• You need to relax.  A bed and breakfast is the best place in which to relax.  The entire atmosphere is different than at a hotel or a big resort.  Life slows down at a B&B… yet it will be over way too soon!
• You love B&Bs.  There’s no better reason to stay at a bed and breakfast than simply because you love them!

I’m sure I could go on and on, but you get the picture.  Really, is there any reason why NOT to stay at a New England B&B?

I have been lucky enough to do a lot of different traveling throughout my lifetime. We traveled a lot with the family when I was a kid and I continued that pattern into my adulthood. However, there are some travel experiences that I haven’t had yet which I would like to have sometime in my life.

Travel goals for my future include:

• Using the option to book all inclusive vacation packages. I usually piece together my trip with reservations here and there but I like the idea of doing it all in one shot someday.
• Taking a train across an entire country. I don’t even know if I want that country to be the U.S. or Canada or somewhere else but I definitely want to do it.
• Going on an extreme adventure. I’ve never really done a lot of adventure traveling although I’ve hiked a lot and done a few other cool activities.
• Book charter flights. I don’t even know how to do this but I want to learn one of these days!
 

For the most part, I’m happy with the history of travel that I have behind me. However, I want to continue to embrace new experiences and to do travel things that I’ve never done before.

You have just gotten back from your summer vacation - or maybe it’s still a few weeks away - so the last thing that is on your mind right now is probably your winter travels. However, now is the best time to start making your Christmas vacation plans. Prices are only going to go up as the weather starts to get cooler so the savvy traveler will start planning immediately in order to get the best deals.

The first thing that you’ll want to start looking at is where you’re going to stay at your destination. It’s often cheaper - and nicer - to stay in condo rentals or apartments rather than hotels. For example, if you want to go to Florida for the winter then you should consider looking at apartments in Tampa Florida that are for rent. South Tampa apartments are ideal but any good Tampa rentals would still be nice during the winter.

These rentals are going to be a lot more expensive in just a couple of months when people all start making their vacation plans. In fact, they may become prohibitively expensive which could force you to change your plans and look for something cheaper. Why do that when a little planning right now could get you the dream home you want for Christmas this year?
