You could go to culinary school anywhere in the country. In fact, you could go to culinary school in different locations throughout the world. So why would you choose a place like the Sacramento Kitchen Academy to get your education in the culinary arts?
Here are three reasons that students of this school might cite when asked why they chose to attend this school over the other options available to them:
- It’s affordable. In comparison with many of the world’s cooking schools, this one provides a high-quality education without the outrageous price tag.
- It’s in a great location. Sacramento is the capital of California which puts it in a great location designed to make getting a job after graduation easier. There are opportunities within the city as well as in nearby urban areas like San Francisco. There are also rural opportunities at resorts nearby such as those at Lake Tahoe.
- It’s sister school is in the home of the stars. If you decide that you want to be amongst celebrities, it’s easy to transfer to The Kitchen Academy Hollywood. If not, you can stay in Sacramento and complete your degree.
There are good reasons to attend most schools. But these are three great ones to start cooking at the Sacramento Kitchen Academy.

When you started college at age eighteen, you probably chose your program for a number of different reasons. There’s a good chance that many of those reasons were superficial (admit it, you cared about the party rating the school got in the co-ed handbooks). But now that you’re a grown-up, you realize that your education actually matters. That’s good, but it makes choosing the right program difficult. You have to assess many different factors to find the right program for you.
So, you’ve decided that you want to get your executive MBA degree. And you also know that you want to continue working full-time while attending school so you’re planning to get your MBA degree online. But now you’re sifting through all of the options that are available to you for such an online education and you’re trying to decide which one to go with. You want to make sure that you choose the best online MBA program to meet your educational needs as well as your career goals.
You’ll factor in many different things as you make this decision. But there’s one step in the process that you shouldn’t leave out. Make sure to check and double-check that the school is accredited so that your education counts in the real world. Don’t just rely on the school’s claim to accreditation. Go to the website for the U.S. Department of Education and make sure that the school is on their accredited list. Otherwise you’ll have to rely on that Bachelor’s from your party school to maintain your career.

Changing Internet technology has made going to school online an exciting experience. Online colleges first started off as fairly simple and straightforward text-based courses. Information was presented in online documents and submitted through email to professors. Nowadays, it is possible to create forum groups where interactive audio and visual technology brings people together as though they are in a live classroom.
Online college courses have particularly benefited from the use of video technology. Professors can create video presentations which they share with students to provide an experience similar to a lecture hall. Students can present material through video format as though they are standing in front of the class and sharing information. And video conferencing allows for real time interaction between class members and instructors.
Online degree programs have provided unique opportunities for education since they began. With changing technology, these opportunities have been expanded. Video injects more personality into the online classroom and allows for a more dynamic educational experience than what was possible when education was first introduced online. One of the reasons that many people have held back from online programs is that they learn better when interacting with others. Video and web technology have now made it possible to do that from the comfort of your personal computer.

Picture this - it’s your junior year of high school and everyone around you is rapidly completing their college applications. Everyone’s talking about which types of colleges they are going to with the most popular choices being community college, liberal arts colleges and art or technical schools. When the conversation comes around to you, you say that you’re going to golf college. Everyone laughs at you. They haven‘t even heard of golf schools. You might be ashamed at first but hold out for awhile and see what happens.
Now picture this - you’re at your ten year high school reunion. The kids who went to art school are complaining about the menial jobs that they have to work to make a living while trying to create art. The community and liberal arts kids are lamenting the amount of loan money that they took out to study topics that turned out to be less than useful in the real world. The technical college folks aren’t at the reunion because they’re working eighty hour weeks to get an edge up in their engineering firms. And you’re sipping cocktails and contentedly talking about the satisfaction you derive from your golf career. You may have been the joke of your school, but who do you think is going to have the last laugh?
