I have recently done a lot of research into shopping for trucks because I’m considering making this type of big purchase and I don’t want to go wrong with it. What I think I’ve learned is that there are two different things that you need to look at when buying a truck. First you need to look at the brand of the truck. Second, you need to look at truck accessories to improve the truck.
The brand of the truck is an interesting issue because it not only applies to the brand of the vehicle itself but will ultimately also apply to the brand of the accessories that you purchase to improve the truck. You may know your Dodge from your Ford but do you know your bully dog from your diablosport? If not, it’s something that I think you’d need to learn before doing any serious truck buying.
The accessories that you purchase for your truck seem to be almost as important as the truck itself. Some of these accessories make the truck easier to drive (running boards would be an example of that). Others, such as improved gas systems, can serve to enhance the performance of the vehicle. You want a vehicle that you like to drive and that you’ll continue to enjoy driving for a long period of time. Or I do anyway. That’s why I’m taking my time with this purchase!

Many people toss stuff into the back of their truck without thinking twice about it. If you don’t care about what your truck bed looks like then you can keep on doing this. But if you take just a few minutes to figure out what the right equipment is for protecting your truck bed, you’ll find that you can easily continue to put items in the back of the truck without doing damage to the bed.
The most obvious choice of items that you would use to protect your truck bed would, of course, be a truck bed liner. The bed liner is specifically designed to line the bed of the truck for just this such purpose. Tools, furniture and camping gear can easily be tossed into the bed of the truck when you have one of these and all that you’ll be ruining is the bed liner. And since the liner is designed to be durable, you probably won’t be ruining anything at all.
Another choice would be to get a truck tool box. If you have just a few items that you’re regularly putting into the truck bed and they aren’t big then you can go ahead and just get a truck tool box to store them in. If it’s secured properly, the box itself shouldn’t ruin the bed. Plus you’ll have better protection for the things that you’re storing in your truck bed since this item can be locked.

You have a truck that you want to put up for sale. You know that there’s only a certain price range that you can ask for the truck but you want to do all that you can to make sure that you get the high end of that range out of the sale.
Here are some easy things that you can to do add value to your truck before a sale:
Make an effort to make it easy for the buyer to see what’s so great about the truck. You’re the one that will benefit in the long run.
